There are no classes in Heroes of Three Kingdoms. Rather than choosing a preset role as you would in other games – in HoTK you choose a weapon type. This weapon type is what determines the skills you can use, the weapons and armor you can equip, what specialization paths are available, as well as your basic attributes – such as health, attack, speed and damage. As a soldier in training you have no affiliations, it is up to you to pick a side and lead them to victory. Determine your play style on the fly with your choice of 18 historic weapons and ride your trusty steed into fierce battles. Non-combat professions will allow access to limited resources not found anywhere else, but make haste, the battle is upon us!
Rise through the ranks and lead your loyal army on your quest to end one of the bloodiest periods in history and unite all of China.
There are 18 different weapon types available in Heroes of Three Kingdoms Gold. These range from melee weapons such as the Saber Talons or Maces to polearms like the Glaive, Spear or Staff and even Scepters, Bows or Fans.
There is no limit on the number of weapons a player can ultimately master, and they will be able to choose a different weapon any time they wish. For example, if after spending a month playing as a Spear-wielding character – only to find out that you don't like it – rather than having to start all over, you can simply train in another weapon.Though initially you can only wield one weapon type, players can eventually acquire the ability to equip two weapon types. This enables players to pick form any of the 18 weapon types available until they find something that appeals to them, and how they want to play.Having the ability to adapt a character to fit any particular role, rather than having to create alternate characters really gives you true flexibility in HOTK Gold.
